We perform basic dental examinations and dental care in the field as well as more complex interventions at the clinic.
About this service
Dr Emmanuelle Swales is responsible for our dental service.
Before advancing toward a therapeutic solution, a correct diagnosis is of the utmost importance. We dispose of a modern equine camera (‘oroscope’) to examine the mouth and teeth of your horse.
Routine dental care can be performed at your residence, but for more complex problems such as fractured teeth, caries, EOTRH, etc. your horse can be treated at the clinic.
Complex cases are managed at the clinic in collaboration with our external consultant Dr Fabrice Bodeus (post university training in equine dentistry) and Dr. Thomas van Bergen (Diplomate ECVS).

Emmanuelle Swales graduated from the University of Liège (Belgium) in 2012. After her studies she immediately started a one-year internship (orientation surgery/medical imaging) at the equine clinic of Ghent University.
In 2013 Emmanuelle joined Jean Luc Fraipont in his equine clinic and together they developed a large equine clientele in the region of Champagne Ardennes. Emmanuelle joined the Equine Clinic Acy-Romance in 2019 where she is mainly involved in the ambulatory practice and reproduction.
